The Secret Is Out
Earlier this year
West Hartford, CT was chosen by
Kiplinger magazine as one of the top “10
Best Cities for the Next Decade”. Now
Kiplinger once again chooses West Hartford,
this time as one of “10 Great Cities for
Raising Families”. This is no secret
to Babbalu and our CT friends, we too have
been raised and have raised in what we used
to call a “town”. Go to
West Hartford and enjoy “The Center”,
its restaurants, shops, the parks and hey
you may even consider living there.

Los Good Food!
Our new favorite hot spot is a small and
non-descript corner in West Hartford, CT.
Los Adobes, with its lack of fancy styling
does not lack in really good food and
service. The family run restaurant serves
fresh and homemade Mexican food. We found
this review “A family next to me ordered all
sorts of dishes that kept coming from the
kitchen -- the menudo and sopas and tamales
looked and smelled terrific”

Could It Be Jealousy?
Our very own

generational thing, and that maybe it’s OK
to text pretty much anywhere and anytime”,
except when driving of course!

Singing In The Rain, Under The Lights
This is just too cool not to share with our
Babbalu friends. The brilliant
Lighted Safety Umbrella, it incorporates
3M reflective material and a "6V" Krypton
bulb that casts a 6’ circle of light when
illuminated to insure your visibility on a
rainy night, it can be seen from over ¼ mile
away. It’s tested to withstand strong winds
and gusts without any damage, and it’s
virtually unbreakable in normal use. Also,
it’s an aid to personal safety, much like
the comfort of a porch light on a dark
night, and it helps prevent nighttime falls
in the rain. The
Lighted Safety Umbrella a Babbalu
Favorite for sure.

A Staple In Time
In Miami this is a must stop for us,
Versailles Bakery & Café. You may have heard
of or visited the Versailles Restaurant,
filled with authentic Cuban cuisine. But
there is nothing like an afternoon stop for
café and homemade guava pastry, as our
friends at the
Food Network recently reminded us.
Located in the heart of Miami, Calle Ocho, a
treat not to be missed, but don’t take our
word for it,
